The Cabinet 

Under the authority of a Director, the Cabinet is the conception, coordination, and facilitation organ that assist the Minister in is action. It will settle on behalf of the Minister and by delegation, political, administrative and technical issues within the department. The composition of the cabinet and the terms of appointment of its members are defined by the regulations.

  • The Office of Research and Planning;
  • The Office of Cooperation and Communication;
  • The Office of Information Technology;
  • The Legal Department

The Directorate-General

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure & Development

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure & Development is the technical body, which assists the Minister in the exercise of its powers in terms of infrastructure development of special economic zones. In particular, it is responsible for:

  • Participating in the implementation of the development policy of special economic zones;
  • Identifying and selecting potential sites for the establishment of special economic zones;
  • Controlling and monitoring the execution of the work site development and construction of infrastructure;
  • Participating in the development of regulations on site development and management of infrastructure and ensuring its implementation;
  • Contributing to the implementation of new tools for development of special economic zone;
  • Managing the heritage of special economic zones;
  • Managing human resources, equipment and finances Branch
The Directorate-General of Special Economic Zones

The Directorate-General of Special Economic Zones is the technical body that assists the Minister in the exercise of its powers in the administration of special economic zones. As such, it is responsible for:

  • Administering special economic zones;
  • Ensuring the promotion of commercial and industrial activities of the special economic zones;
  • Proposing, in coordination with other jurisdictions, incentives for businesses to invest in Special Economic Zones;
  • Ensuring implementation of the legislation or regulation of special economic zones;
  • Accrediting the location of businesses and companies in special economic zones;
  • Checking and following the lives of businesses and companies located in special economic zones;
  • Participating in the definition of the main areas of intervention of government departments in special economic zones;
  • Assessing the impact of economic measures on the development of special economic zones;
  • Managing human resources, equipment and finances of the branch.

The Inspectorate-General

The Inspectorate - General of Special Economic Zones is the technical body that assists the Minister in the exercise of its powers in control. It is responsible for:

  • Carrying out inspections and monitoring to assess the functioning of economic areas and administrative and financial services of the Ministry;
  • Conducting studies to improve the functioning of special economic zones and Corporate Services;
  • Ensuring the implementation of the legislation on special economic zones management, Heritage and the Ministry of Finance;
  • Performing administrative and disciplinary investigations services and staff of the Ministry;
  • Ensuring the efficient use of personnel and the proper management of their careers.
